Kussnacht

Switzerland, officially the Swiss Confederation, is a landlocked Alpine country in Central Europe. It had been a federation, since 1848, of relatively autonomous cantons, some of which have a history of confederacy that goes back more than 700 years, arguably putting them among the world's oldest surviving republics. Switzerland comprises three basic topographical areas namely the Swiss Alps, the Swiss plateau, and the Jura Mountains. Switzerland has four official languages, German in the north and centre, French to the west, Italian in the south and Romansh in the southeast. Switzerland has a strong economy in finance and banking, and a long and strong tradition of political and military neutrality.

Kussnacht am Rigi, its official name since 2004 is Kussnacht, is a municipality in the Canton of Schwyz, one of the founding cantons of Switzerland, in Central Switzerland at the north shore of Lake Lucerne and at the south shore of the lake Zug below Mount Rigi. It is not to be confused with Kusnacht on Lake Zurich. As of 2003 it had a population of 11,639 living within an area of 36.20 square kilometers. It is situated at an altitude of 457 meters above sea level.
